what is raid 10?

Raid 10 is a type of Raid, which has the attributes of Raid  and 1. Here, the data are mirrored first and then it is striped. Raid 10 performance is increased by uniting Raid 1’s redundancy and Raid 0’s speed. It may require Raid 10 recovery for various reasons such as server crash, MTF corruption, missing partitions, overwritten files etc. With RAID 10 hard disc system the likelihood of data loss due to a defective hard disc decreases considerably. RAID 10 offer Excellent redundancy (as blocks are mirrored) and Excellent performance (as blocks are striped)
